About
I am a lecturer in Education at the University of the South Pacific based at the main campus in Suva Fiji. I received my Bachelor of Education in Literature, Language and Education and Master of Arts in Education at the University of the South Pacific. I am currently working towards my PhD, examining notions of resilience, culture and sustainability in Pacific Islands’ education. My research interests include: curriculum development, teacher education, multicultural education, education for social change and diversity, citizenship education, and Pacific Arts as an educational tool for social learning. I am also an artist and poet and am a Fiji National of mixed ethnicity. I am married to a talented Tongan commonwealth award winning artist and we have two wonderful teenage daughters and a brilliantly talented grandniece who gives us cause to smile everyday! My goals include spending more time at home, write poetry, paint, read (even more), be a good teacher and friend, and wife and mother.. and somehow.. somehow get some sleep in between!!
